Our client an NHS organisation is looking to appoint an Interim Communications Manager. This role will be at interim contractor rates under the CCS NMNC Framework up to Band 7.
This role will start ASAP and will be for 3 months in the first instance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the NHS organisation at a local level to deliver effective communications internally and externally and ensure staff and stakeholders are informed on plans, activities and delivery of healthcare;
  • Lead, develop and execute a wide range of proactive and reactive communication activities using a variety of mechanisms appropriate to the audience to make sure they are involved and engaged;
  • Provide support to other members of the wider Communications and Engagement Team;
  • Write, edit and proof read, co-ordinate internal and external publications, reports, press releases and copy;
  • Facilitate effective internal and external communications and relations with the media;
  • Lead in anticipating and responding to media enquiries and briefing journalists.
Key skills and experience:
  • Qualification in media studies/ communications or journalism or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of three years’ experience of working in communications and engagement; 
  • Experience of communicating and engaging with a range of audiences including staff, the public and other key stakeholders;
  • Credible track record of working with healthcare organisations would be preferred.
